I've been drawing since I was five years old. Although that is when I said to myself, "I wanna be an artist when I grow up" I was of course too young to be truly serious about art. By the time I was thirteen, I started drawing caricatures of people in the park (I started out as a cartoonist really). I didn't start to sell anything until I was around 16. By then I was dedicated and very serious about anything related to art. That was a time of big turning points. My style changed and my art became more than just cartoons and comics. I'm self-taught. I did attempt to go to an art school, primarily concerned with traditional art, but I decided that wasn't for me. I didn't stay long enough to really take anything away from that experience, save for an even greater passion for being a stronger independent artist. Don't get me wrong though. I love to collaborate and work with other artists. In fact, if any part of my artistic education has come from somewhere other than my own observations, it has been through collaboration with other artists. What I love about art, is that it is a never-ending learning experience. I will never claim to be the best, as I don't believe any one person can be, but I will certainly try to be better EVERY time I create.
